University Village
What are the plans?

This new village will consist of:

- housing
- retail
- restaurants
- offices
- a boutique hotel

The university village will be adjacent to the University campus and the University Station.

The village will be located on 30 acres on the southern side of the University and it will be accessible for pedestrians and cyclists.
Why is this beneficial to Redlands?
- A similar project developed at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte helped that school double its enrollment during an 18-year period.

It will reduce traffic and parking and save the city money in the long run. It will also make it easier for people to get on and off campus.

- It would also reduce air pollution, eliminate urban sprawl and create a public gathering place for the city as well as the university similar to a European village green
