OCT 2012 – University of Redlands students for hire

Being a college student is hard work.  Being a broke college student is even harder.  While academics are top priority at the University of Redlands, those in the community should consider hiring University of Redlands students as tutors, child care providers, clerical staff, house or pet sitters, movers, yard workers – really, no job is too small for a college student in this economy.

As a service to the local community and students attending the Universityof Redlands, the Office of Career Services posts part-time off-campus employment opportunities free of charge.  Employers interested in hiring a Redlands student may post their position online through the University’s website at: http://myredlandsapps.redlands.edu/careerservices/forms/frmjobpostingrequest.aspx University senior, Scott Heeb, says of the program, “This service has been instrumental to me in finding part-time jobs to earn money to help pay the bills while in college.  The part-time positions I have held have also helped me build a strong resume.  I have been fortunate to work for a variety of organizations and most recently for Grub2Go.  I doubt I would have been able to find these jobs on my own.”
Ryan James, Principal at Grub-2-Go, shares, “My company hired Scott Heeb from the University of Redlands a couple months ago.  Scott has gone above and beyond the duties of a driver.  He has shown excellent character and proven himself valuable in many areas, especially accounting.”  Note: Grub-2-Go delivers menu items from your favorite restaurants to your home or office in approximately 35 – 60 minutes for a nominal charge plus gratuity.  Orders may be placed online or via phone.
