Bringing Redlands to Life with a Stunning Mural!
Do you love the rich history and culture of Redlands? Do you want to see Redlands celebrated in a unique and colorful way? Leadership Redlands has you covered.
The Redlands Chamber of Commerce and the Leadership Redlands class of 2024 are very excited to announce our latest community endeavor: commissioning a large mural right here in Redlands! This postcard-style mural will capture the essence of our city and we need YOUR help to make it happen. We’re aiming for the Redlands version of the famous Postcard murals that look like this:
We are raising $5,000 for this project to support the artist, material costs, permitting, and the unveiling event. Any remainder will boost next year’s Leadership Cohort project.
Why a mural, you ask? Because we hope to create a celebratory piece that draws in locals and visitors alike. As a key feature of the mural, we will include a QR code that links to an Esri ArcGIS StoryMap page highlighting what we love most about Redlands.
We have already secured a talented muralist named Frank A. Samaro III, are actively scouting locations, and are beginning the permitting process. But we can’t do this project in full without you. Here’s how you can get involved:
- Donate: Every dollar counts! Whether it’s $5 or $500, your contribution will have a lasting impact. Please donate via Venmo to @redlandschamber with the memo “#RedlandsMural”. You can also donate with a check made out to the “Redlands Chamber Foundation” and mailed to 47 N. First St., Redlands, CA 92373.
- Spread the Word: Share this email with your friends, family, and social networks. The more people who know about our project, the more support we can gather. Use the hashtag #RedlandsMural to keep the conversation going!
- Join the Celebration: Once the mural is complete, we’ll be hosting a big unveiling event. Stay tuned for details and come celebrate with us!
Let’s come together and create a masterpiece that honors Redlands’ community spirit. Your support will make all the difference, and we can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.
Thank you for being a part of this exciting project!
Warmest regards,
Leadership Redlands, Class of 2024
P.S. Curious about what the mural will look like? We’ll share sneak peeks and progress updates through the Redlands Chamber of Commerce social media platforms, our project page (redlandschamber.org/leadershipservice), and with donors along the way.
