NOV 2017 – President’s Article by Todd Underwood

Can you believe the holidays are here?  Thought I would encourage you to think about a couple of things before the spending begins.  Where you shop this season will have a major impact on our local economy.
Right here in our city we have a large selection of unique shops and restaurants, and a remarkable array of services.
Research shows that small businesses create more new jobs, put more money back into the local economy, and give nonprofit organizations greater support.
This season, I encourage you to avoid the crazy traffic and frenzied crowds. If you shop online make sure it’s at a local store and Support Redlands’ locally-owned and operated businesses; it’s a win-win for all of us. Don’t forget to Shop Small on Saturday, November 25th.

NOV 2017 – Member Profile – Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches

Jimmy John’s gourmet sandwiches, slices up fresh everyday

Jimmy John’s has been providing gourmet sandwiches since 1983. At Jimmy John’s the food is simple; it’s clean, and its fresh serving from-scratch food made with excellent ingredients. They use locally purchased produce, which is brought in fresh and hand sliced daily. Their tuna salad is made from scratch by hand every day. The real provolone cheese, oven-roasted turkey, choice top round roast beef, real wood-smoked ham, dry cured genoa salami, and spicy capicola are also brought in fresh and sliced by hand daily – in every single Jimmy John’s location.

Jimmy John’s bread bakers bake French bread all day, every day. They try to manage bread so that all of the French bread is served within four hours of when it was baked. If you like whole grain wheat bread, try the 9-grain wheat bread – thick sliced and pretty close to perfect.

The team uses Hellmann’s® real mayo, Grey Poupon®, pure olive oil blend, red wine vinegar, and oregano-basil. Combine these with Jimmy John’s fresh bread, sliced meats, wild-caught tuna, and real cheese – that’s genuinely fresh!

You care about where your food comes from, and Jimmy John’s does too! They demand the same of their suppliers and they go to great lengths to make it happen.

Each Jimmy John store is locally owned and operated by people who care. They create jobs and are giving partners in every community where you find a Jimmy John’s. Whether you visit one of the Jimmy John’s locations or order for delivery, the hand-crafted sandwiches are served to you by people who take the time to do it right.

Jimmy John operators are bakers, slicers, recruiters, trainers, marketers, accountants, and community leaders – not just exceptional sandwich makers. Pretty cool stuff.

Visit the Redlands location at 27511 San Bernardino Ave, Suite 103, call, 909 435-4499 to place your order or you can log onto www.jimmyjohns.com to learn more about the famous Jimmy John’s sandwiches or to place an order.
